Hi, I’m Tom Perlet.  I’m a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker specializing in therapeutic work with children, adolescents, young adults, and their families. I began working with children, adolescents, and their families in 2002 as a Direct Care staff at Wediko Children’s Services’ therapeutic summer camp in Windsor, NH.  Since those days on Black Pond, I have worked in many different treatment settings including residential treatment, school-based treatment, group homes, in-home therapy, and traditional outpatient therapy.  I am trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and have been an active treatment provider in this modality since 2016.  I come from a family of educators and have extensive experience supporting families through different school-related challenges.  I approach my work with an emphasis on the therapeutic relationship and using that foundation to support clients in making changes in their lives.

I have worked in Community Mental Health since 2016 and have been an active participant in the Youth Suicide Prevention Assembly for the state of New Hampshire, have collaborated with multiple school districts in Merrimack County, and am a member of the Advisory Board for the Merrimack County Child Advocacy Center.

I attended Clemson University for my Bachelor’s in Psychology with a minor in Elementary Education and earned my Master’s in Social Work from University of Maryland.  I became a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in Maryland in 2012 and transferred my license to New Hampshire in 2016 after moving with my family.  I am a father of three and an active community member.  I enjoy being outdoors, watching and playing multiple sports, engaging in imaginative play and games with my children, and making connections in my community.

We look forward to hearing from you!
